Playing games
Are games on 9MinGames free to play?
Games listed on 9MinGames can be opened and played online for free through a compatible browser. A third-party game may display advertising or offer optional features under its own terms.
Do I need to download or install a game?
A separate game installation is not normally required. Open the game’s play page and use the available play control. Avoid downloading files offered by an unexpected pop-up or external page.
Why does a game not start immediately?
Games are loaded only when needed and can take time to initialize depending on the game, device, network, browser, and third-party provider. Try reloading the page, checking the connection, disabling an overly restrictive browser extension for the site, or choosing another game.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Many games support touch devices, but compatibility varies. Some games are designed for a keyboard and mouse, while others may need landscape or portrait orientation. If controls do not work well, try another device or report the issue from the game page.
Does fullscreen work for every game?
Fullscreen is available when the browser, device, and game layout support it. Browser or operating-system restrictions can prevent fullscreen, especially inside embedded content.
Favorites, ratings, and recent activity
Do I need an account to use favorites or Recently Played?
Current versions of 9MinGames use an anonymous identifier stored in the browser. A public account is not required for ordinary favorites, ratings, or recent activity.
Why are my favorites or recent games missing on another device?
Activity is not currently synchronized across devices. A different browser, device, private-browsing session, or cleared site storage can appear as a new visitor and may not have access to earlier favorites or history.
Where can I see more than the games shown on the homepage?
Open the Recently Played page to view retained game activity beyond the smaller homepage list.
How long is Recently Played kept?
The current website setting is approximately 180 days. The period can change as the website is maintained, and browser storage can be cleared earlier by the user or browser.
Does “Continue Playing” mean my level or score was saved?
No. The label identifies a recent game that is convenient to reopen. Some games save their own progress, while others restart when opened again. 9MinGames cannot guarantee progress inside every third-party game.
Can I change a rating?
The website may allow the same browser to update its current rating for a game. Suspicious or automated voting can be limited or ignored.
Game reports and support
How do I report a broken or inappropriate game?
Open the game’s play page and select the Report button near the player controls. Choose a reason, add a short note if useful, and submit it. Full instructions are on the Report a Game page.
Where does my report go?
The report is recorded for review by 9MinGames. It is not displayed publicly. We may test the game, correct information, restrict it, remove it, or close the report when the issue cannot be confirmed.
What should I do about a copyright concern?
Use the Copyright & Takedown Policy if you own the rights or are authorized to act for the owner. A formal request needs more information than an ordinary game report.
How can I contact 9MinGames?
Email contact@9mingames.com. Include the relevant page URL and avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Privacy, cookies, and advertising
Why does the website use browser storage?
Browser storage can support favorites, ratings, Recently Played, preferences, consent choices, and abuse prevention. Embedded games and advertising services may also use their own storage.
How can I clear my local activity?
Use your browser settings to clear cookies and site storage for 9MinGames. This can reset the anonymous browser identifier and remove local access to associated favorites and recent activity. Server records remain subject to normal retention rules.
Why do I see advertisements?
Advertising can support free access to games and may be displayed by 9MinGames, an embedded game, or another provider. Advertising and privacy choices vary by region and provider. See our Privacy Choices page.
Is 9MinGames intended for children?
9MinGames is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. Parents and guardians should review individual games, supervise younger users, and read our Parents & Children’s Privacy page.
