Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 18, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how 9MinGames handles information when you browse the website, play games, use interactive features, submit a report, or contact us. It should be read together with our Cookie Policy and Privacy Choices page.

Information you provide directly

We receive information that you choose to send to us. This can include:

  • Messages sent by email, including your email address, the subject, and the contents of the message.
  • Game reports, including the selected reason, an optional note, the game involved, and the time of submission.
  • Ratings, favorites, likes, dislikes, or other choices you make through website controls.
  • Information supplied when exercising a privacy or copyright-related right.

Please avoid sending sensitive information unless it is genuinely required. Current versions of 9MinGames do not require a public player profile to browse and play games.

Game activity and anonymous browser information

When activity features are enabled, the website can assign a random identifier to the browser. This helps the same browser retrieve favorites, ratings, recent games, and related interaction states without displaying a public identity.

Depending on the feature used, we may process the game opened, the time it was played, a limited measure of active play time, the last activity time, favorite status, rating, reaction, and whether a report was submitted. The website does not intentionally record every second of play; updates are sent at limited intervals and when certain play events occur.

Recently Played information is currently configured to be retained for approximately 180 days. That setting may change as the website is maintained. Favorites, ratings, reports, security records, and aggregated game statistics may be kept for a longer period when needed for the feature, abuse prevention, recordkeeping, or legal obligations.

Returning to a game does not necessarily mean the game itself has saved progress. Progress inside an embedded game is controlled by that game and may use separate storage.

Technical information collected automatically

When you request a page, our hosting, delivery, caching, and security services may automatically process technical information such as:

  • Internet Protocol address and approximate network location.
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language.
  • Requested URL, referring page, response status, and timestamps.
  • Security signals used to detect abuse, automated requests, or attacks.

This information is commonly contained in server and security logs. We use it to deliver pages, diagnose failures, protect the website, enforce reasonable limits, and understand general usage. Log retention depends on the service involved and operational needs.

Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies

9MinGames may use cookies or browser storage to remember preferences, maintain an anonymous browser identifier, support game activity, prevent repeated abuse, and keep website features working. These technologies can remain on a device until they expire or are deleted.

Embedded games, advertising partners, analytics providers, and other third parties may use their own cookies or similar technologies when their services load. We do not control all storage created inside third-party content. Please see our Cookie Policy for more detail.

How we use information

We use information for purposes that include:

  • Displaying games and providing requested website functions.
  • Remembering favorites, ratings, and recent game activity in the same browser.
  • Showing relevant game suggestions and measuring general game engagement.
  • Receiving and reviewing game reports, support requests, and copyright notices.
  • Preventing spam, fraud, repeated voting, malicious automation, and security incidents.
  • Maintaining, diagnosing, and improving website performance and accessibility.
  • Displaying, measuring, or limiting advertising where advertising services are used.
  • Complying with law, enforcing our terms, and protecting users or the website.

Where data-protection law requires a legal basis, the basis may include consent, performance of a service requested by you, compliance with law, and legitimate interests such as security, website operation, abuse prevention, and service improvement. The available basis and your rights depend on your location and the activity involved.

Third-party games and services

Games are often delivered through content operated by third parties. Loading a game can connect your browser directly to the game provider and related advertising, delivery, measurement, or security services. Those parties may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, the referring page, and interaction information, and may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.

We may also rely on service providers for hosting, content delivery, security, email, analytics, consent management, and advertising. They may process information for us or for their own disclosed purposes. Their practices are governed by their terms and privacy notices.

When information may be shared

We may disclose information:

  • To providers that help host, protect, deliver, measure, or support the website.
  • To game, advertising, or embedded-content providers when their services are requested by your browser.
  • When reasonably necessary to investigate a report, copyright claim, security incident, or violation of our Terms.
  • When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from an authority.
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of visitors, the website, or others.
  • As part of a genuine business reorganization, provided the recipient continues to protect the information as required by law.

We do not sell your email correspondence as a customer list. Advertising partners may independently use information for advertising purposes as described in their own notices and your available choices.

International processing

9MinGames is available internationally, and the services involved in delivering games, hosting pages, protecting traffic, or displaying advertising may operate in different countries. Information may therefore be processed outside the country where you live. Where required, appropriate contractual, organizational, or legal safeguards should be used by the relevant service provider.

Data retention

We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including security, dispute resolution, legal compliance, and maintaining website features. Retention periods differ by data type:

  • Recent anonymous game history is time-limited and is currently configured for approximately 180 days.
  • Support messages and copyright notices may be retained while a request is handled and for a reasonable recordkeeping period afterward.
  • Reports, ratings, and abuse-prevention records may be kept longer to protect the integrity of the website.
  • Hosting and security logs are kept according to operational needs and the policies of the provider involved.

Information may be anonymized or aggregated so that it is no longer reasonably linked to an identifiable person. Aggregated statistics may be retained for analysis and ranking.

Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent. These rights are not absolute and may be limited by law, security needs, the rights of others, or our inability to connect an anonymous browser record to a verified person.

To make a request, email contact@9mingames.com with the subject Privacy Request. Describe the request and the browser or interaction involved. We may ask for reasonable verification and will not ask for more information than necessary.

You can also delete cookies and site storage through your browser, adjust browser privacy settings, and use controls offered by advertising or consent providers. More information appears on our Privacy Choices page.

Children’s privacy

9MinGames is a general-audience website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly ask children under 13 to create a public account or send personal information to us. Parents and guardians should supervise younger users, review the suitability of individual games, and use available device and browser controls.

If you believe a child has sent personal information to us, contact contact@9mingames.com so we can review the request. Please see Parents & Children’s Privacy for additional information.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures intended to protect the website and the information we process. No website, transmission method, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Visitors should avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information and should keep their browsers and devices updated.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this policy when website features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the most recent revision. Material changes may also be highlighted elsewhere on the website when appropriate.
